Our Mission as Your Healthcare IT Company in the DMV

Small medical, dental, and med spa practices carry the same patient-data risk as a hospital system, without the IT budget or in-house security team to match. Our mission is to close that gap: to give DMV practices real, HIPAA-literate IT support, not a generic help desk with a healthcare label slapped on it. "Solutions That Last" means systems that hold up under an audit, a ransomware attempt, or a Tuesday afternoon outage, not just ones that look fine until they're tested.

Why Healthcare Specifically

IT isn't one thing. A law firm mostly needs uptime and file security. A retail shop needs a fast point-of-sale system. A medical or dental practice needs both, plus something most IT companies have never actually done: a real HIPAA Security Risk Analysis, a signed Business Associate Agreement, and real knowledge of how patient data moves through an EHR, a scheduling system, and a payment processor.

Most IT companies treat healthcare like any other client, with a few extra buzzwords. We built STS around the opposite idea. For a practice handling PHI, the compliance work and the IT work aren't two separate things. When we set up your network, we're already thinking about your next risk assessment. When we vet a new vendor for you, we're already thinking about the BAA. That's not an add-on. It's the whole reason we exist.

How We Work / Our Approach

We start every relationship the same way: with a free assessment of your devices, network, security controls, and paperwork, not a sales pitch. That assessment tells us what your practice actually needs, and it's why we don't publish a fixed price list. A practice with a clean setup and a practice recovering from years of break-fix IT need different things, and we'd rather quote honestly than quote generically.

From there, we work proactively, not reactively. That means monitoring before something breaks, not just fixing it after. It means an annual HIPAA risk analysis on the calendar, not a one-time checkbox. It means every vendor who touches your patient data signs a BAA, on file, before day one. And it means response times and coverage terms in writing, so you know exactly what you're getting and what happens if you ever want to leave.
